Horrified women share hilarious photos of their eyebrow blindness (2024)

Over the past decades, there have been tons of eyebrow trends that have taken the beauty world by storm.

From skinny 'sperm' brows in the early 2000s, to the 2016 'block brows' inspired byKylie Jenner, to the spiky soap brows of today - we've seen it all.

Not to mention all of the viral products that were piled on, too, like the Anastasia Brow Dip and Wunderbrow gel.

But when you look back on your previous eyebrow styles from years past, you may be thinking, 'What the heck was I doing?'

Now, TikTokhas come up with a name for that - and it's called 'eyebrow blindness.'

Medical esthetician Cassandra Bankson explained the term to USA Today, defining it as 'being blind to something that is trendy [but] not necessarily good for long term health or beauty.'

Comedian Taylor Tomlinson also spoke about the phenomenonduring a recent episode of her show, After Midnight, on CBS.

She joked that it was an 'all-too common medical issue' where you're unable to tell that your eyebrows 'look insane.'

The viral term has taken over the app, with tons of users posting some truly hilarious and shocking videos of what their eyebrows used to look like.

And, it seems like there was a wide range of 'brow blindness' that people had, too, from super thin to super thick to barely there at all.

One TikTok user namedBryn Satotook to the app to show her stunning 'brow blindness' in a video that has now reached more than 4.2 million views.

'I think I win the eyebrow blindness trend,' she wrote in the clip.

Sato showed viewers what her brows looked like now - dark and full - and then dramatically flashed back to what they used to look like, when they were extremely thin on the ends and thick on the inner corners.

In the comments section, viewers went wild, as many admitted that their 'jaws dropped' after seeing these photos.

One even compared them to apostrophes.

'I SNORTED,' one person wrote.

Another agreed, 'Yep, you win.'

'The apostrophes nooooo I had bricks bro,' someone else joked.

But TikTok creatorJenell Hitch Garrett had the opposite problem.

She showed off some hilarious pictures of what her brows used to look like, when she would draw them in with pencil to look extremely thick and blocky.

Garrett admitted in the caption that she wished someone had stopped her.

The TikTok has since reached more than 3.5 million views, with tons of commenters amazed at what they were seeing.

'Your real eyebrow peeking through like "It's me! Jessica! I'm in here!”' one viewer typed.

'The fact that you can see your natural brown through the pencil color because it was not a good color match,' another typed.

Another TikTok user, Katie Gray, also suffered from the anomaly, but in quite the unique way.

Gray showed that she used to outline the tops of her brows with pencil, but didn't fill them all the way in - which sent viewers into a spiral.

'It's like you got bored halfway through,' someone else wrote.

Another wondered, 'Did u just get tired and not finish??'

'Girl... blending is a thing,' a user pointed out.

Eyebrow blindness even affected professional hair and makeup artist Izzy, too.

She admitted that she used to paint her eyebrows on every single day, as she flipped through pictures in a viral TikTok video illustrating the fact that hers used to be extremely thick, dark and sharply lined.

It was a stark contrast to her blonde hair at the time.

Izzy typed in the comments that someone had compared her old eyebrows to potato wedges, which she joked 'further traumatized' her.
