On Thursday, Stability AI dropped Stable Fast 3D, a new generative AI model that turns single images into detailed 3D assets in just 0.5 seconds.
How fast is it?
Lightning fast! ⚡ It outpaces older models like Meta's 3D Gen, which takes up to a minute to create 3D shapes and textures.
What can it do?
From a single image, it quickly cranks out a variety of 3D assets. It also predicts material types for more realistic surfaces, like shiny metal or matte leather, making it a big step up from previous models in handling materials, textures, and lighting.
Who else can benefit?
Game and VR developers, retail pros, architects, and designers will find this tool especially handy.
